I am Nathalie Wiederkehr and for over 20 years I have been visiting clinics across Europe and beyond, as a patient myself and as an advisor. I know which ones are worth it, which ones look better online than in reality, and what questions to ask before you commit to anything.
Finding the right clinic abroad takes more than a Google search.
Most clinic websites look professional. Prices seem clear. Reviews seem positive.
And now AI tools will happily recommend a clinic in seconds. But none of that tells you what the waiting room actually looks like, whether the coordinator speaks your language, or if the doctor you researched is the one who treats you.
I have spent over 20 years visiting clinics across Europe and beyond. That is something no algorithm can replace.
The story behind Nathalie Wiederkehr
I first got interested in medical treatment abroad almost 20 years ago, when I wrote my master’s thesis on dental clinics in Eastern Europe.
What I learned then still holds today: the only way to really know a clinic is to visit it in person.
Since then I have been treated abroad myself, visited clinics across Europe, Turkey and Asia, and helped others navigate the same process.
I know what the glossy websites don’t show you.
I only recommend clinics I would choose for myself, my friends and my family.

From crowns and implants to full smile makeovers, dental work abroad can cost a fraction of what you pay at home without compromising on quality. I have been getting dental treatment abroad for over 20 years.
Laser eye treatment abroad is safe, well-established and significantly more affordable than in Switzerland or Germany. I know clinics that meet European standards and have a strong track record.
Plastic surgery requires the most careful research of all five areas. I only point people towards clinics where the medical standards, aftercare and communication are taken seriously.
